Frozen Fish

All Fish is Blast frozen at sea and deemed Sashimi grade.

A number of fish we carry are classified as GREEN - BEST CHOICE by the WWF/SASSI, (please see the list below)

All wild caught fish is caught in both the Atlantic and Indian Oceans along the Southern African Coastline or grown in GAA certified aquaculture facilities.

All landings are put through a rigorous inspection process including microbiological testing  to ensure the highest level of quality is attained while upholding sustainability.

Packing and Processing Information:

Processed: WR (Round), HO/GI (Head off/Guts in) or DWT (Dressed With Tail) or Portioned into Fillets.

Facility:All fish is processed in HACCP, SABS and FDA approved vessels/Facilities.

Catch: Fish is either wild caught or farm raised where stated and graded for export.

Sustainability: Classification on most fish by WWF/SASSI

All Fish are procured from boats and aquaculture facilities using industry accepted fishing/farming procedures Landings are in accordance with all legally set quotas. Seasonal breeding break periods are strictly adhered to.

FROZEN IS BETTER THAN FRESH

Consumers should base their seafood purchases on quality. Frozen seafood can be superior in quality to fresh products. Many fish and shellfish are 'flash frozen' within hours of the harvest. It might take several days for the same seafood to make it to your local seafood dealer as 'fresh'
